Key Activities 2022/2023
The 2022/2023 financial year will see Catalina Estate continue to grow as a significant urban development project on Perth’s northern coast.
Construction and sale of lots will remain a key focus, with stages of subdivision work occurring in all three of Catalina’s development precincts, including Stages 29 and 31 in Catalina Beach, Stage 18C in Catalina Central and Stages 36 and 37 in the new Catalina Green.
There will also be a significant program of landscaping works undertaken across Catalina, improving the amenity for residents and delivering on a range of environmental objectives.
Highlights include:
- Civil construction for 244 lots;
- Construction and landscaping of new parkland and streetscapes along Portofino Promenade in Catalina Beach;
- Dune revegetation along and near the Foreshore Access road and carpark;
- Landscaping of the Greenlink on Aviator Boulevard between Connolly Drive and Roulettes Parade in Catalina Central;
- Construction and landscaping of a new park in Catalina Green;
- Landscaping along Connolly Drive and Neerabup Drive;
- Extension of Longbeach Promenade to connect with Portofino Promenade in Catalina Beach;
- Opening of a new Display Village in Catalina Beach;
- 177 lot sales and 172 lot settlements.
The following is a summary of key activities at Catalina for 2022/2023.
Civil Construction
The following stages of civil construction works are to be undertaken:
- 43 lots in Stage 29 and 66 lots in Stage 31 (Catalina Beach);
- 28 lots in Stage 18C (Catalina Central);
- 57 lots in Stage 36 and 48 lots in Stage 37 (Catalina Green);
- 20,000m2 site for a new neighbourhood commercial centre (Catalina Green);
- 6,700m2 grouped housing site in Stage 17B (Catalina Central);
- Longbeach Promenade extension.
Landscaping
Landscaping works will continue to provide important recreation facilities and meeting places for the local community. In addition, it will demonstrate the quality of the Catalina Project and achieve environmental improvements.
The following landscape works are proposed for the 2022/2023 financial year:
- Extension of the existing Portofino Promenade park;
- New Foreshore Park on Portofino Promenade;
- Portofino Promenade medians/verges;
- Foreshore access road and carpark rehabilitation;
- Aviator Boulevard Green Link;
- Connolly Drive entry statements into Catalina Central and Catalina Green;
- Connolly Drive medians/verges;
- New Catalina Green park and streetscaping near the corner of Connolly Drive and Neerabup Road, including a new entry statement from Neerabup Road;
Further rehabilitation work within both the southern and northern Biodiversity Conservation Area, located adjacent to Marmion Avenue and in the sand dunes to the west of the Project.
Sales and Marketing
The Sales and Marketing program will be aiming to achieve 177 residential lot sales and 172 lot settlements.
The Sales and Marketing initiatives will be focused on continued Catalina branding, in conjunction with the Catalina Beach Sales Office and the new Catalina Beach Builders Display Village.
